Sunday 30th October, 2016
My top bunk at the aptly named ‘Bunk’ hostel was right by the window so it let in loads of natural light and I was up by 7.30 a.m. (a very rare natural occurrence for me) and so I made the most of it by catching up on messages and updating my diary.
When Tash got up and ready, we made our way over to the Cultural Centre.
We came across a beautiful Nepalese Pagoda, a mini jungle, a man made beach and lagoon!
That blue, though <3
Forever looking awkward in photos by myself.
Where should I put my hands? What shall I do with my legs?
Lush walk along Goodwill Bridge.
We also stumbled across one of the best markets I’ve ever been to – full of handmade goodies, lush candles, beautiful art prints, awesome clothes, gorgeous home furnishings and loads more incredible bits and bobs.
I never say no to fresh lemonade.
I adore this necklace.
We grabbed lunch at Comuna Cantina, which we would both thoroughly recommend.
The ‘Abundance Bowl’ is insane and genuinely one of our favourite meals during our trip up the East Coast. (We devoured it again, even though we were only there for 3 days…)
I WANT IT RIGHT NOW.
After lunch, we sunbathed in the beautiful City Botanic Gardens…
…before a cheeky fro-yo at Nominom, as recommended by my friend!
It was pretty good but nothing on Yo-Chi, my one true love in Melbourne.
After a tough day of exploring and eating, we headed back to the hostel in the early evening to chill and read, briefly stopping for a lovely dinner of pho at a local restaurant, very creatively named ‘The Vietnamese Restaurant’.
See you soon for day 2 in Brisbane 😉
