For New Years Eve, a group of the coolest people descended upon Eason’s place armed with a dish each for pot luck (I was the bringer of cured meats, cheeses and olives: a one-woman antipasti, if you will).
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
(She says almost at the end of 2017…)
What a view!
The wild party animal bringing in the new year like a burrito.
Wahey, I’m finally blogging about this year!
So, I moved into Edison (my cousin) and James’ place in the city while they were in Hong Kong over the Christmas holidays and it was great.
Classic table situation when I’m trying to sort out my life.
Finally got round to trying a burger at 8-Bit.
It was pretty good but the bun was a bit too greasy for me.
I’d met a Canadian firefighter on the coach on Christmas day when I was on my way to Taupo in New Zealand. When we got chatting, he said that he’d be visiting Melbourne at the same time that I was there so I met up with him and his new dorm buddy, grabbed some food, hung out on a rooftop bar and I took them to my favourite fro-yo joint: YO-CHI.
Made the most of the beaut weather and having Eason back in Melbs with a day of wandering.
The Botanic Gardens are rather wonderful.
Brighton Beach with Cherry.
I also found a beach hut that perfectly matched my outfit.
Al and I had sushi rolls and watermelon in the park.
In the late afternoon, I showed him the beauty of scones and he was amazed by not only my great looks but also my taste in British sweet treats.
The best hot chocolate that I’ve ever had from Hardware Societe, one of the best brunch spots in Melbourne.
BYE MELBOURNE, SEE YOU SOON!
