I know that times are a bit scary and uncertain at the moment.
Let’s do things in moderation: stay clued up on what’s going on AND try to make the best of the situation.
It’s a great opportunity to finally read that book that’s been on your shelf for ages, cook something you’ve always wanted to, catch up on TV series that you haven’t had the time to, work on/start a blog!
As someone who works in sustainable fashion, the initial idea behind this post was to find out whether I still own anything that I wore a decade ago.
I was curious to see if any survived my many wardrobe clear-outs.
The answer was a resounding NO.
So I decided to change tack and think about whether there were any items that I’d wear now if I still had them.
As we all know, fashion changes and I’m almost 30 now (oh Christ) so it’s unlikely that I’d wear anything that I wore when I was 19 and actually went out out.
However, this also posed as an excellent way to thank and shine a light on each individual item for serving its purpose, however big or small.
It’s what Marie Kondo would have wanted.
I’ll let you know if I’d still wear anything at the end of the post, so please enjoy/laugh at this throwback reel which mainly consists of clothes from Primark and Topshop.
With full permission to laugh at my outfit choices, awful posing and hair, LET’S GO!
Apologies in advance to my friends who have been dragged into this (you knew what you signed up for in this friendship).
In conclusion: The only items of clothing that I’d take away from 2010 would be my Topshop pale pink and beige camisole, Topshop sunglasses, chunky gold hoops, vintage brown bag and black Converse (most of which broke/got too worn out) as opposed to me chucking them out because I didn’t like them.
Do you still wear anything that you had a decade ago? I’d love to hear if you do!
Take care and wash your hands, everyone! 🙂
