A catch up/belated birthday lunch with Sarah at Gloria in Shoreditch before wandering around the vintage shops in Brick Lane and some of the charity shops in Bethnal Green.
I’d seen this iconic lemon meringue pie on my Instagram feed quite a few times and had been so excited to try it out. I’m glad I finally got to and it’s bloomin’ beautiful, but a touch too sweet for my personal taste.
A brilliant dessert to share between 3-4 people and an absolute bargain between you for £6!
A yummy Caribbean lunch at Prince of Peckham with Tina.
We checked out the local charity shops and Peckham Levels with its funky stairs. I don’t know if it’s because we visited on a Sunday, but the whole place just felt a bit strange to me. There wasn’t much to see on most of the floors besides a nice-looking restaurant at the top with some random shops dotted about, as well as a yoga studio.
Meet Barry, the squirrel who appears to have adopted the area outside our lounge as his second home. He opens the nuts that he finds from trees on there and we’ve also left him some fresh berries and mixed nuts, which he’s also devoured.

Make sure the try the Gillardeau oysters on the right, they’re so sweet and creamy!
It was great to be able to try out Seabirds – the service, views and atmosphere are fab!
However, the food is quite pricy for what you’re getting so definitely more of a special occasion spot. My favourite was the Octopus roll, which was so tender and perfectly complemented by the sweet, toasted brioche bun, smoked aioli and my beloved padron peppers.
The outdoor area is gorgeous too.
