God’s Own Junkyard

I’d been wanting to visit God’s Own Junkyard since I found out about it a few years ago and I’m so glad that I finally got around to checking it out last month!

Tucked away in an industrial park in Walthamstow, you’ll find a treasure trove of new and used neon signs, old movie props and retro displays.

Chris Bracey has made, installed and collected signs for films such as Eyes Wide Shut, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Batman. Usually, the neons would be discarded once the film has rapped but Chris collected them, along with religious statues, disco balls and retro signs which have been curated in God’s Own Junkyard, where neon never dies.

Obviously, I dragged Bushbaby along with me!

Hoping that my future is as bright as these signs…

You can grab a drink or bite to eat on-site at the brilliantly named: The Rolling Scones Café.

If you’re looking for a free activity to do in London, I’d thoroughly recommend a visit!

Once you’re done, it’s a 5-minute walk to the gorgeous Walthamstow Village which is filled with gorgeous independent shops and cafes.

Big thanks to Han for joining me and being the best Instagram girlfriend/model/company!
