FEBRUARY 2023

I know, it’s embarrassing how behind I am on these blog posts but here we are.

Celebrating Lauren’s 30th birthday in Leytonstone!

Celebrating Garance’s birthday with a cheeky GBK takeaway at home and discussing how terrible everyone on the dating apps is.

Also impressed by how much this burger resembles the burger emoji.

Date night with Tina.

She wanted to check out the Loewe X Howl’s Moving Castle collab – not really my bag (I’m here all week) but probably will be if you’re a fan of the film.

Funky Yayoi Kusama X Louis Vuitton display.

Does using the word ‘funky’ make me sound middle aged?

Tina and I hit up Speedboat Bar for dinner, where I found the mains disappointing, but the Prawn Ceviche with Seafood Dressing and Pineapple Pie with Taro Ice Cream were divine.

Dinner at The Great Thai Restaurant after work with Em & Haz – one of my fave Thai restaurants in London.

A wander around White Cube before meeting Bushbaby and Jason for dinner.

Cute mocktail.

Tried the ramen at Hakata but found them to be pretty under seasoned.

Kanada-Ya is still the ramen king in London, IMO.

Sarah’s last visit to London before baby Tabby arrived!

She chose her fave restaurant (Pizza Express) which I usually refuse on the grounds of being an absolute food snob, but will admit that their Chicken Caeser Salad is bangin’

She also fancied a trip to the aquarium…

Had a pretty nICE time.

Proper tourist mode.

Finally tried out Taro in Soho with Bonnie for dinner – it’s yum and really good value, would highly recommend.

Also introduced her to Bun House and their amazing custard buns. I managed to drip a load of custard down my jacket.

That’s showbiz, baby!

Also got around to trying Marugame Udon in Brent Cross shopping centre, which was delicious.

My second wander around the Charity Supermarket pop up with Tina – I didn’t grab anything this time, but she found a few bits!

Working hard or hardly working, eh Mac?!

Shrek quotes are on repeat in my head at this point.

The beginning of my obsession with mini Daims – far supreme to regular sized Daims.

Goodbye lunch for Helena at Ciao Bella with the History of Art PS team.

This seafood pasta was served in a bag – it was all very dramatic.

Claire’s homemade cookies are the best.

An excellent dinner date with Tina at Hache Burger Social in Camden.

Tate Late with Anna.

Such great food at Inko Nito, especially the Crab Rolls and Bone Marrow.
