Oh, hey there!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I’m Queenie, a 26 year old with a passion for travelling, taking photos, eating, cooking, films, books and blogging (obviously). It’s lovely to meet you!
I’m from a little seaside town in the South West of England but I moved over to Hong Kong to teach English after I graduated with a degree in Sociology, which I loved (apart from stats. Stats can do one). I moved to Hong Kong because I didn’t really know what I wanted to do in the UK and working in a pub with your friends dotted all over the country after graduating just wasn’t the dream situation. Also, it’s exciting to live in a new country, especially when it’s hot pretty much all year round. I live for sunshine, crop tops and high-waisted shorts.
After teaching English for 3 and a half years which was pretty fulfilling, I quit my job in June 2016 to pursue my dream of travelling the world. I’ve visited Korea, Bali, Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia and New Zealand in the past 7 months.
My previous blog was called Peanut Butter and Mussels where I documented my time in Hong Kong, so if you need any tips on where to go during your visit, go check it out! There are also a few posts on my holidays to Thailand, Japan, The Philippines and England.
However, I figured that it’s nice to have a fresh start to document all those new adventures. I feel like I’ve rambled through this ‘about’ section so if you’re still reading, I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I will inevitably enjoy sharing my little world with you.
Sending you all the biggest hugs!
